Varun Dhawan and Sajid Nadiadwala had a spectacular run at the networks together. After Dishoom and Judwaa 2, Sajid Nadiadwala announced their third collaboration with Varun. The film titled as Sanki.
Recently, Parineeti Chopra was contemplated for the role opposite Varun.
The film is actually an official recast of a South film. A source reveals, Sajid Nadiadwala had acquired the official rights to the super hit Tamil thriller Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru. Sanki is a modification of the same movie. They are transforming the scenario to suit the pan-India platform.
The source adds, it’s a cleverly articulated thriller. Varun Dhawan plays a role of detective. He loses his leg during one of the explorations.
Moreover, It’ is challenging for Varun because he plays a character resisting a physical hindrance for the first time. The actor is playing this character for first time in his career. The film makers design to roll on the ground. Later this year, after Varun wraps work on Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya. He will mostly conclude Sanki before he moves on to Sriram Raghavan’s Ekkis.
Further, Varun Dhawan’s starrer Bhediya, the movie also features Abhishek Banerjee, Kriti Sanon and Deepak Dobriyal in key roles. The story is scripted by Niren Bhatt. He has also written for Wrong Side Raju, Bala, Made in China. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik.
