Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare : True Hypocrisy around Women

In life, where freedom comes with a price for women, very few unbashed and unapologetic stars are ready to pay the price and shine. Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare starring Konkona Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar is a story of two cousin with difference mindsets who love to hate each other but always have each other’s back. Where Radha a.k.a Dolly ( Konkona ) is a house wife and have two kids, Kaajal a.k.a Kitty (Bhumi) is new in town and dreams of living life independently.

They have immense love but the harsh reality of the world make them at loggerheads with each other. The film at many points shows how a woman’s freedom is something men worry about. The movie is somehow based on the So called modern look and backward thinking society. It’s a very well presented movie. Both of the them just shines throughout the film. The movie is out on Netflix.

Alankrita Shrivastava, the director, once again asks ‘Why should boys have all the fun?’ with two disillusioned women surviving in an environment which makes them feel they don’t belong here.
